ист, полит"новые левые"Радикально-либеральное политическое движение преимущественно молодых американцев, охватившее США в 60-е гг. XX в. Его участники выступали за революционные перемены в механизмах власти, политике, образовании и обществе в целом. Приобрело широкую известность благодаря участию в движении за гражданские права [ civil rights movement] и демонстрациям протеста против войны во Вьетнаме [ Vietnam War]. В 1968 во время проведения национального конвента Демократической партии [Democratic National Convention] в г. Чикаго произошли кровавые столкновения между демонстрантами и полицией. В движении участвовали такие группы, как "Студенты за демократическое общество" [ Students for a Democratic Society]. В связи с окончанием войны во Вьетнаме и финансовыми трудностями движение сошло на нет.тж new left -
